How to beat the future of distopia

Current Situation

Ever so rising relentless corporate goals, attempts to exit the boundaries of the human material system and latest technological advancements led to the cyberpunk-like mass survelliance tools, human-mind farming algorithms, and biggest human data training we have seen. It become so dark that even the darkest of distopian stories fell behind. And for the first time in human history, individualism, human needs, and society’s future were so unrelated to what we as humans build.

Explanation

I know i threw in so many conspiracy like terms into the first parahraph so let me explain what i meant sentence by sentence.

First of all, economy never saw this level of inequality. Well everybody knows top 1% of America owns 30% of it bla bla. You know the stuff, maybe even better than I do.

Well this alone isn’t just a phenomenon, this is just the consequences of what we have built over throughout the years. Classes, wages, bureaucracy, it all led to this.

PROJECT: steal human value

No free human would hand over what they worked for, not without something in return. It was wheat back then, maybe sheep, or something else. Everybody traded stuff, not in a literal sense though, by intermediaries. Money as we call it. But what exactly was money, if we built the whole human life around it, surely it can’t be exploited right?

Well, I am not an economist, but it was exploited. Little by little, one law at a time pushed by the elites, the rich, the money was transformed from a tool for convenience to a tool meant for control.

If one person or institution has the power to change everythings value, how are we free men?

Well this is blog post far extends these topics. So I will stop explaining modern capitalism and move on to explaining my first sentence.

Well if you control money, there’s nothing left to conquer, that is how it should be at least. Right and wrong, with enough money you can easily own, control anything but people still riot, disagree. They can combat this in a couple ways like:

1. The change in society made it so that we started to believe these conditions are human nature, the capitalism we were born in was not a system but a unresistable force of human behavior.

2. Of course, the greatest friend of them, media. If you control what everyone sees, ALL THE TIME; even if they don’t agree, they are not weirded out anymore. Even if you plan to extreminate races, countries, launch drone strikes because one company might profit out of it, this idea doesn’t feel alien anymore, they have trained our brains to not totally accept, but not tottaly get offended by this. Even the “left” politics in US were about this for years, instead of class wars. Everyone has opinions, everyone can be right or wrong but it is their idea, well this might be really good for LGBTQ and minority rights, these are the worst way to defend them. This opens the door to “well I hate arabs so I am going to kill every one of them with the power I have” sentence being extremist, wrong, but not weird. Comments not shy of this level might be seen everywhere in media and internet, even if depicted wrong.

You may bend peoples ideas to some direction sure, but what about controlling them tottally. What about making them think what we want in real time, without any way to get out of it. What if we could mine peoples brain so that we control literally everything. There is so much to control. We need to control the whole population to follow our agenda, or let them think they don’t follow our goals while still holding the alternatives.

Enter Social Media

We have realized something, one of the most important resource a human can have, time can be requested, in exchange for idk maybe entertainment?

People need entertainment, we can’t work every hour of the day, and just sitting and thinking is too primal to work in modern society. So let’s spoon feed people content. Short but targeted content. Each swipe allows them to know what you are interested in or not. They can use this to completely profile you, while stealing your time. Let’s craft algorithms so pixel-perfect that even if you wanted to, you can’t do anything but scroll, anything but to allow it to entertain you. What else choice do you have. Are you going to read books? :D :D :D

While also doing this they can put in advertisements, messages, and see how you react.

Mass data, collected for every human being fed into sophisticated predictive algorithms to not only learn about your past. But also predict the future.

Well also I am not going so much in detail into this as mass survelliance has tons of articles, video essays and academic research. But one of my favorite is this video.

Oracle, Palantir, OpenAI, Meta, Google, and much more. Total domination in human information, life, and data. They can and do control everything a human see to think in their day to day life.

Technocrat overlords that control everything, if you think I am over exaggerating, I want you to really think about it, how much do you think they know about you, and how much of your time are effected, controlled or surveilled by them.

FINAL: My way of staying optimistic

Fortunately, humans are so durable. Even this much of brain washing propoganda, microplastic and stress will not kill us. Well as I see world quickly turning into a cyberpunk-like movie in a couple decades, we as humans can fight this.

First of all we need to be tech-literate. What is tech literacy, well at least to understand core principles of the devices we use on our daily basis, on a nightmare scenario we might still be able to fight the forces if every human knows how to basically hack, change or develop technological devices for their benefit.

Creating a human gerilla tech/hack front, may not kill off the whole system but may still help it slow down. Most of the population actively poisoning the mass data, breaking survelliance devices like cameras and maybe drones in the future and creating alternate ways to communicate, entertain and survive, not dependant on the big corporations should and will be the only way I see human race winning a war against itself.

Of course much better alternative would be what Ted Kazcynski did years ago, literally bomb and fight the means of technology on a pyshical dimension, but this is not realistic and might turn into something much more chaotic because it might allow these corps to use weapons so advanced that can easily erase human race from existence.

All this said as a 20yo I can wait to see and live the disgusting George Orwell like future waiting for my adult ages. I will dedicate my life into knowing everything about these devices so when the day comes, I can be in the cyber-trenches fighting for humanity.
